About the team
The Student Support team is central to the student journey at Harlow College. We provide comprehensive Admissions, Bursary, and Apprenticeship support. Our goal is to ensure every prospective and current student has a positive and efficient experience from their first enquiry right through to successful enrolment onto the perfect program, with a special focus on our growing apprenticeship provision.
We are seeking a proactive and organised Support Advisor with a specific focus on apprenticeships. In this vital role, you will be a key contact for employers and individuals interested in pursuing apprenticeships through the College.
About the role:
The successful Apprenticeship Advisor will be responsible for the apprenticeship recruitment and onboarding process, from assessing applications and guiding candidates through to ensuring the enrolment process is followed promptly, accurately, and efficiently. The Advisor will provide potential apprentices, employers, schools, and other external organisations with high-quality, accurate advice and guidance on apprenticeship opportunities, eligibility criteria, potential fees, and funding options. The postholder will also represent the College by promoting apprenticeships at various events (college-based, schools, employer sites) and is vital in contributing to a positive and supportive experience for all potential and current apprentices.
What We Are Looking For:
Ideally, have previous knowledge of apprenticeships, experience in a customer service background. Hold a IQA qualification or a willingness to work towards achieving this qualification is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with a diverse range of people (students, parents, school staff, employers).
Proven ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
A methodical and accurate approach to work, even when under pressure.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines effectively.
Experience in or a willingness to support the training and onboarding of new staff members, sharing best practices to maintain our high service standards
Hold Level 2 Maths and English Qualifications or equivalent
