We are seeking a personable and organised Receptionist to join our busy secondary school on a part-time basis. As the first point of contact for students, parents, staff and visitors, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient school environment.
Salary Range: Band 2: £26,646 - £27,911 (Actual starting salary £14,521 with annual performance-based increments)
Working Weeks: 41 weeks (Term time + 2 weeks in school holidays)
Working Hours: 22.5 hoursbetween 07:30-16:30 Wednesday - Friday
This post is presently based at our Lower academy. However, staff can be redeployed to either site dependent upon operational needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact inreception
- Provide a professional and corporate representation of the Academies
- Welcome and assist visitors, students and parents in a warm andprofessional manner
- Handle queries andquestions efficiently and in a timely manner
- Answer and direct telephone calls and emails across both Academies
- Support the administration team with general administrative tasks, including document preparation, booking appointments, typing, photocopying and filing
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Experienceworking in a school or busy office environment
- A calm, professional manner and the ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
- The ability to work constructively and flexibly as part of a team, with an understanding of school roles and responsibilities
